Bruce McNicol

Bruce’s greatest love is to observe the slow transformation of a leader, marriage, or a community as they discover the freedom of a high-trust environment of God’s grace. Bruce left business and church ministry in the Northwestern United States to serve for ten years as president of the International church planting organization, Interest Associates, based in Chicago. In that role, he designed programs on character, leadership, community and church planting, led a staff team that raised $20 million for establishing multi-cultural missions and churches in the large cities of North America, and helped teams from twelve cultures establish more than one hundred organizations and churches on that continent. Bruce’s visionary influence inspires and guides many organizations, including Leadership Catalyst, where he serves as president. He is an international speaker, consultant, and mentor to leaders in the fields of health care, law, government, business, education, sports, and media. Bruce holds a bachelors in finance law, a masters in theology and a doctorate in organizational and leadership development. Bruce’s wife Janet serves as a nurse and mentor to younger women. They have three children all of whom live in Arizona, Nicole, Chad, and Ryan. Bruce loves to travel (good thing!), to read on a diversity of subjects, to study cultural shifts, and is learning golf (at the board’s direction) from Bill Thrall.

Bill Thrall

Before their involvement in full-time ministry, Bill served for seven years as a CPA and management consultant, including becoming Arizona’s first assistant auditor general. One should never invest too much time with Bill before asking him for a few stories from that era of his life. Bill serves as Vice-Chair of Leadership Catalyst, Inc. (LCI). In 1973, Bill and Grace established Open Door Fellowship in Phoenix. One learns about Bill’s value system when realizing that that this regionally influential church grew out of several talented, evangelistic rock bands, even though Bill has always preferred the music of George Beverly Shea, Perry Como, and Frank Sinatra. Bill emphasized leadership development, creating effective programs addressing character maturity. Bill is the co-author of the best selling TrueFaced resources, The Ascent of a Leader, and Beyond Your Best. He is a mentor to many and leader of leaders. Bill and Grace have three married children—Bill (and Charlotte) Thrall, Wende (and Jim Rosania) of Phoenix, and Joy (and Joe Stowell, Jr) of Chicago—and nine grandchildren. Bill is a wood craftsman, a fishing fanatic, an avid golfer, and a gardener you want to know.
